CEO Dare to Cure
Black Wolf Group’s Managing Director, Pete Tsokelenis, is taking part in CEO Dare to Cure 2021 in support of the Children’s Cancer Institute.
Now in its fourth year, CEO Dare to Cure is Sydney’s newest fundraising event. It’s a truly unmissable fundraiser with a difference.
Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to curing childhood cancer. The money goes towards research and scientific activities to help cure childhood cancer as well as fundraising activities to generate donations and increase funding.
There are eight dares that participants can choose from, and Pete has decided to take on the Athlete’s Ice Bath Challenge!
This event will be held on Tuesday 23rd November 2021.
Message from Pete
As a father of two, I’m particularly passionate about supporting the work of the Children’s Cancer Institute. I also have a personal connection to the disease, having lost my Mum to breast cancer.
I recently learned that over 1000 families across the country will find out their child has cancer this year.
The Children’s Cancer Institute aim is to bring this number down to zero through their groundbreaking research, development and technology.
Having lost my own Mum to cancer I understand the difficulty and pain that’s involved in having someone close to you affected by the disease, so I encourage those in the network – family, friends and colleagues – to donate what they can.
Every little bit will help and I look forward to seeing the ongoing impact the money raised will have.
Help Reach Pete’s Goal
Pete’s goal is to reach $5,000 that will go towards much needed research for the Children’s Cancer Institute. In 2019, 79 cents of every dollar spent within the institute was spent directly on dedicated research to help cure childhood cancer.
